#natyamnaatak – “You’re Pretty Good… For Being Old”
In the eyes of some, “experience” only means one thing.
I’m in class with some younger students (8-9 years old). To help them work on balance, strength and agility, we’ll execute small jumps in a full sitting position (squatting down, but on our toes and knees pointed to the sides.
Some react with cheers, others with groans.
Teacher – “Why all the groans? I thought you all liked jumping!”
Student 1 – “Yeah, but not like this! My legs get so tired!”
Student 2 – “It’s tiring but fun, I feel like a jumping bean.”
After another 30 seconds of editorial comments, it’s time to make things happen.
Teacher – “Tell you what, how about I join you for a jumping contest? Whomever has the most jumps without losing balance wins.”
Jumping commences. Teacher wins (by a lot).
Student 3 – “Wow, you’re a good jumper for being so old.”
Teacher – “Who are you calling old?” (with a wink) 😉
#mindvoice “Yes, yes I am – a good jumper.” 😉 💪🏽
